Chelsia was a singer and an actress from Hong Kong.
She won the best Actress at the 14th Golden Horse Awards (Taiwan) for her work in the Korea - Hong Kong joint film "Chelsia my love" in 1976.
In 1976, Song Cun-Shou who was a director of Golden Harvest Production in Hong Kong picked and cast her in the korea - Hong Kong joint film "Chelsia my love" with Kenny Bee who was a also a new face. The moive was motivated from her real story and made unprecedented success in Southeast Asia.
Owing to the popularity of "Chelsia my love", a sequel to the first moive, Rainbow in my heart was filmed by the korea - Hong Kong joint production again in 1979, where Chelsia and Kenny attracted public gaze during shot in Korea.
Chelsia was an active singer -song writer with many albums as well as an actress with several moives from 1975 to 1980. She gained popularity as an international singer representing 1970's.
In 1981, Chelsia married a Malay entrepreneur Chung Ting Sum and retired from the entertainment world leaving regret to numerous fans. Currently, she lives in Malaysia with three daughters.
Although there has been no official activity as an entertainer since retirement, she has shown unchanged idol image by making her appearance on public service and media including appearance as a quest an recent concert of Alan Tam, one of the top singers from Hong Kong.
