Amazing how westerners can make it in a canto pop market like
Hong Kong. They played from Star ferry to the HK Colliseum and
they we're Christian Missionaries? Very cool! Love their music!
Where are they now?

I remember hearing CityBeat in Hong Kong in 1988. Wow, brings back great memories of my year in Hong Kong. Great band and great bunch of guys.
City Beat tried its Westerner luck in Hong Kong

I remember watching these Anglo-Saxon guys singing a line or two from one of their Cantonese pop songs on the J.S.G. Top Ten Awards Presentation 1989, among the line up of new singers in the running for the Best New Singer/s Award. I was surprised by their perfect Cantonese pronounciation. But Dave Wong (Wang Jie) and Shirley Kwan won the award. City Beat - Cantopop singers with Westerner facial appearances.
