The Convincing Baddie

I grew up watching TVB series in teh 80's adn 90's. He was the baddie in several TVB series and played teh role so convincingly, esp in Looking Back In Anger (with Felix Wong as his brother)and The Challenge of Life (With Leon Lai). His acting is superb as teh baddies, just a glance from his eyes will send shivers to your spine. I liek his comedies as well in "Zhau Lou San Leong Kor" with Babara Chan Mun-yee. He's an actor of his on caliber, easily swapping baddie roles with teh good guys. Some of his song which were not listed here are my favourites ,especially "Novel" (Siew Suet Ku Si) and "Clear skies, cloudy skies, rainy skies" (Qing tin, yum tin, har yu tin)etc
My superstar

Deric is my superstar in my innermost part of my psyche.I get to know him when I was in Form 3 from the movie on TVB Xing He.Of course,he is handsome,so much so that I love every movie acted by him.He enjoy being a actor and his acting is outstanding.In the movie,he can act as bad character,good charactor or "sa sa" character."Jin Sheng Wu Hui" is one of his movie I like and the song "Cong Wei Shi Guo Yong You"
is my favourite song,and the lyric inside is quite similar with my life.I have great empathy on him because he has not meet his real spouse.Recently,he was "dumped"by his girlfriend.
He has a cute girl,looking quite similar with him.None of other superstar can compare with him.
He is the best.Although now he is almost fourty,he still look very handsome.When he was young,it is not an overstatement to say that girls cannot resist the temptation of Dericwan,so powerful.Finally,I wish him all the best in finding his real spouse.

Recently, I have been watching old classic TVB movies such as "Looking Back in Anger" and "The Blood of Good and Evil" and all of a sudden, I feel that craze again to see Deric of the early 90s. Watching "The Blood of Good and Evil" again reminds me of the first time years aga when I first saw Deric in this TVB series. He was this cool handsome Chai Ho Nam and after watching this series years ago, he became my obsession. Up until now, I still think the image of Chai Ho Nam is the most handsome. Chai Ho Nam was not cute nor hot- he was simply handsome with dazzling smile. Looking at him now, you wouldn't believe me, but get that series and you will see why I ws crazy about this guy for a while:) Acting wise, although Deric is always humble when asked about his comment on his acting, but most of us if not all, must agree he is a superb actor who can act out any role be it prince charming or villain or joker. He can always manage to bring the character out alive. As for his singing, well, he is an average singer but his songs have very nice melodies and the wonderful thing is he compose many of his own songs, just another aspect of this multi-talented star. His music has a traditional Chinese feel to it different from the typical pop music of our time and I enjoy this uniqueness because there are just too much pop out there and Deric music adds variety and I love listening to him in the evening since most of his songs are traditional Chinese romantic tunes. His brightness may have faded, but he will always remain in my memory.

As a young child I remember watching great TVB series with my mom. Even at such a young age I really enjoyed watching really captivating series such as "One Step Beyond," "The Breaking Point," and many other wonderful series. I even enjoyed the music -- and to this day, whenever I hear these songs I am reminded of the countless hours I spent watching interesting TVB series with my mother. Keep the music alive, they're a blast from the past and they remind us of days gone by and also of the days to come.

Deric Wan Siu-Lun was the best singer, everyone who love that dude would support him. It look like he was retired to singing and now he's the most popular and famous Actor in the TVB.
