The New 4 Heavenly Kings band in RTHK press conferece

SING TAO - Radio Television Hong Kong held their 26th annual music awards press conference yesterday, inviting the new four heavenly kings of Cantonese pop to appear together. Last week, Alan Tam crowned Hacken Lee, Andy Hui, Edmund Leung and Leo Ku to succeed the former kings. RTHK asked each singer to write the name of the person they thank most for their musical success on a heart-shaped card. Most singers named their record label boss or their parents, but Hacken didn't name any record execs. "I didn't write Hung Tik or Simon (Universal Music executive). Looks like I won't have an album next year. I wrote Principal's name. Lucky he has some pull." Afterwards, Alan and the 4 new kings joined in a photo call. Principal Tam says, "The naming of the new 4 kings has nothing to do with me. I heard on the radio that there are 3 new kings, then I added Edmund to the list." Alan hasn't seen the competitive spirit among the new kings like there was with the old. At the very least, the fans respect each other. Read (Chinese)
