No EEG Artists Present at Show; Hacken Insists on Singing Live When Under the Weather
SING TAO - Two nights ago a group of singers taped an anti-drug show. The only stars were from record labels Go East and EMI, but there wasn't one singer from Albert Yeung's Emperor Entertainment Group. Is it because he has a bad record? Every time there is a big show, EEG artists always dominate, but the only singers were from Go East, such as Kelly Chen and Andy Hui, and from EMI such as Leo Ku, Gigi Leung and Denise Ho. When the press asked the producer why the show didn't contain any EEG artists, he says, "The anti-drug committee has a talent list, I only follow the list to find people, but the list didn't have any EEG artists on it, I'm not sure why. The show's production is all managed by the committee." During the show, Hacken Lee's record label, Universal Music Group, added fireworks to his performance. Hacken, who came down with a fever, insisted on performing live for the show, and when asked if he's afraid of damaging his body, Hacken says, "When you're on stage you forget everything, and I don't want to lip sync." When asked about his feud with Andy Hui over competing for this year's Best Male Artist award, Hacken says, "It's possible! We've known for 10 plus years, and from time to time I do call Andy. We are competitors and friends - that is the truth, but we are not enemies." When asked if he had confidence, Hacken says, "I will try my best. That's why I'm sick and I'm still here. Besides Andy, Eason Chan and Andy Lau are also competitors." Read (Chinese)
